An opening title sequence for the movie Now You See Me (2013), a thrilling heist film following an FBI agent and an Interpol detective who track
a team of illusionists who pull off a heist during their performance.

This concept evokes intrigue by showcasing key film objects from various angles and perspectives, through object transition. Through the use of deliberate movements, our aim is to mimic the fluidity associated with magic.

STYLE REFERENCE

Focusing on details and specific framing of the objects to create ambiguity. The approach involves subtle hints rather than an immediate and complete reveal, contributing to a sense of intrigue and mystery.

For the lighting we chose to go with gold as the primary color because it aligned with the movies theme of opulence and the allure of a high stake exclusive world. We added a greenish-blue accent color to add a striking touch and enhance the theatricality of their performances, creating a sense of wonder and spectacle.

PROCESS

Program: Cinema 4D, Photoshop, After Effects

For our process, we set up our models, cameras, and lighting in Cinema 4D then our compositing was all done in After Effects. We created a background for all the shots, added visual effects, and put in all the cast members also in After Effects.
